I ate almost an entire raspberry Danish twist from Entenmann's. Delicious. Tangy, yet sweet. Delightfully squishy, yet flakey. Altogether evil. Back on the diet tomorrow.

But anyway. That movie Swordfish was strange. The performances were great. I mean, John Travolta, Hugh Jackman, and Halle Berry are fantastic actors and couldn't give a bad performance if you told them to. But the story was lacking and didn't really match up. I felt like it was too desperate to be an action flick. Oh, well. I watched Flushed Away right afterwards and it was cute. I don't understand Rotten Tomatoes' reviews, 'cause it gave that one such a high percentage or whatever and it gives most movies I really love much lower "grades". Flushed Away was no Finding Nemo. ;) Also: I can't decide if I like The Fountain or not. It was definitely...different. Very strange. Again- Hugh Jackman is a great actor.

Anyway. I wanted to type up the new road trip plans as they are right now. And the good thing is, we've already made a couple reservations and have plans to make the rest, so this is pretty much the final plan.

Ch-ch-ch-check it out. )

After going to see X-Men Origins: Wolverine, I downloaded and watched the first three X-men movies. After that, of course my heart got all wrapped up in everything Hugh Jackman. So far I've watched Kate & Leopold, Someone Like You, Scoop, Australia, Oklahoma! (which I've ended up watching a few times just to listen to the soundtrack, 'cause I can't find the one with that cast), and Van Helsing. I'm in the middle of watching Swordfish and I have The Fountain waiting on my desktop. Then I'm planning on Flushed Away, The Prestige, and Deception. Funnily enough, a lot of these I've either seen already or planned on watching and never got around to. It's funny how I go through these stages with actors. John Krasinski and James McAvoy are ones I remember doing this with, too. It's fun, though. Keeps me entertained.

What else did I mean to post about? Oh yeah. I haven't really been posting here 'cause I got myself a new blog to start out fresh with. I'm pretty much planning on coming back to LJ every once in a while, but I might post more on the Hugh Jackman/actor obsession thing on the new one. I try to write real posts with meat on the other blog. Longer ones, I guess. That one's here.

But since I've already started posting about road trip stuff on this journal, I figure I might as well continue that sort of stuff here. The trip's gone through some major changes. Good ones, I think. Evolution. Better ideas have come about. I'll try to post about that stuff soon. Right now I have to get back to Swordfish. I've been sort of struggling with this movie. It's just not catching my attention. I keep pausing it and going away for a few hours. Time to get back.

I just spent HOURS tweaking this road trip. We've added a few days, which means more destinations. And more driving. And more money. Days 1-5 didn't change. But after that, the plans have been bullet-riddled.

Recent additions/changes:
1. After we leave Los Banos, CA on Day 6, we are stopping at Sequoia National Park. We then proceed to Vegas. And stay there.
2. Day 7 brings us from Vegas to the Grand Canyon and then on to Glendale, AZ, where Maggie has family. We invade and crash like a flock of... I don't know. Bugs, or something.
3. Day 8. We then proceed to HAUL ASS across the country to make up for too many stops near the west coast. We stop for the night somewhere around where Texas meets Oklahoma. We sing "Oooooklahoma!"
4. The sun rises on Day 9. We once again HAUL ASS to see my blue whale in Catoosa, OK, because even though we've never met I know I love him. Continue to somewhere near Little Rock, AR for more of Maggie's family. Act normal and not exhausted. Leave and drive fairly quickly to Memphis, then somewhere near Knoxville, TN for the night.
5. Day 10 will take us from TN to somewhere near DC. We stay the night.
6. Day 11. We wake up early and go into DC to do some sight seeing and picture taking. We take a stop at the Smithsonian and then drive the 3 1/2 hours home.

Obviously, a lot of things, mostly motels, haven't been decided on yet. I've figured out how far we need to get each day, but we still need to find cheap accommodations in or near those places.

But I'm glad we have these few extra days. It's a lot more to see, which means that much more fun. Yaaaaay.

I had a dream last night that all of my food started growing green fuzzies on it. And when I couldn't eat it, I panicked, like it was the only food I could have. That's it. It wasn't very complicated, but it was kinda scary. Whatever. You know how dreams are.

I had a monte cristo at the diner last night, but we were celebrating Kaelynn's first birthday and Jessie's breaking up with Pedro 'cause he's a douche. Yaaaay. Now I'm eating tomato soup. Yummmmm. I put a little, tiny bit of shredded cheddar and a few croutons on top and mmmm. I have to wait for it to cool. :(

Boo, I kinda have a headache. It might be a dehydration headache 'cause I can't remember the last time I drank water. Hm. Yay green tea. Close enough.

I finally downloaded the first 10 episodes of season 5 of The Office, so I'm going to eat my soup and watch them again.

I'm madly in love with Jim Halpert.

I haven't been doing so well with my 365 project. I went to Jersey last...Thursday, I think, and I brought my camera, all ready to take a photo a day and edit/post them when I got home, but I was stupid enough to: A. Forget to charge the COMPLETELY and UTTERLY DEAD battery and B. Take the memory card out of the card reader I left at home.

I just typed "gnome" instead of "home". It amuses me that my mind defaults to "gnome" while typing.

So, needless to say, I've fallen out of wack with the picture a day thing. BUT! I've decided the goal is just 365 shots in 365 days, so if I do something special and get a bunch of shots in a short period of time, I can catch up. But what sort of thing could I do? How about a...

ROAD TRIP!! )

We'll be spending a lot of time on Rt. 66, so that'll be cool. I have to get started on putting together playlists for my ipod.

This. Will. Happen.

I got caught up watching chick flicks and forgot to do my 05/365 photo.

Oh, well. I'll do two tomorrow.

Watched Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason and Love Actually today. Just finished watching Elizabethtown, which I went to see in the theatre, but didn't get past the first 15 minutes due to my date wanting to make out throughout the whole thing. I wish we hadn't. Great movie, not so much a great guy.

I went to the mall today to get a piece of pizza and walk around a little. I ended up buying a whole pie to bring home and feed me for the next three days. I ended up eating four slices tonight.

Just call me Fatty McBigass.

Today was a weird day.

I woke up around 9:30 'cause I fell asleep in my armchair really early after reading some LotR. Around midnight, I woke up and just decided to go to bed, so I woke up early this morning. Weird.

Decided to make chicken for dinner at 10 in the morning, so I put FotR (extended edition, of course) on the TV and defrosted the chicken to put in a teriyaki marinade. Put that in the fridge and watched some of the movie. When the first disc was over, I proceeded to pass out in the chair again. WTF?

Woke up and put the second disc in while I put the chicken in the crock pot. Watched some of the movie while I cut up potatoes to mash later. Finished the movie and put in TTT, 'cause I'm on a LotR kick and I was bored. I think I mashed the potatoes and ate at this point. I turned down the chicken to low just to keep it warm and watched the rest of the first disc. When that disc was over, I fell asleep in the chair again. WTF?! That chair is trying to kill me.

So I woke up about an hour ago and found that the chicken had pretty much dried out, so I tried to eat some more, ate the rest of the potatoes, and took some photos for my 365 project. Now I'm doing this.

Hold on, I'm getting Lucy kisses.

Anyway. I'm considering putting in TTT's second disc, but I'm worried I'll fall asleep in that fucking chair again. I could read, but I'd still be in that damn chair. Gahd.

Lucy probably thinks I'm dying.

Happy new year! Woooo!

So my New Year's resolution is to take a picture every day of this year. 365 photos for 365 days. And also to eat better. But that's second to the picture thing.

I've created a new Flickr and put some of my old stuff up, but it's time that I actually got back into photography. There was dust on my camera when I took it out last week. DUST! I am ashamed. I apologized to him and then I made love to him. :D

Mmmm, gingerbread tea.

Anyway. My first shot of the year is up. There's actually a couple new ones, but this is the one I'm considering 01/365.

Tomorrow- I conquer 02/365.

I forgot to mention-

I've developed this obsession with the Jonas Brothers recently. WTF is that?! I'm pretty sure I want to defile Kevin Jonas. I've had many a dirty dream about him lately. Seriously- WTF?

Also Shia LaBeouf. I watched Disturbia tonight just to watch him and it freaked me the fuck out 'cause I usually don't watch movies like that. Especially in a dark apartment alone.

WTF?!

Livejournal? Wow.

Hey. Hi. Hello!

What's up with me, you ask? A lot. That's what's happened.

Let's formulate a list, shall we? Yes, let's.

- Did NOT go to Vegas with Eric to see Elton John, even though that was his original plan. No money. Actually, I ended up paying for us to go to a nice dinner at Fogo De Chao (or however you spell it) in Center City. He hardly considered it our anniversary anyway. Confusing, I know. He's kind of a douche.

- Lived with Eric until August 30, when I moved to my own place in Bensalem, PA, which is about half an hour out of the city. More suburban and it's MYOWNPLACEWOW. It's 5 minutes from my school, which leads me to...

- I'm going to school for Medical Assisting. It's cool, I enjoy my classes, but I went over my absent hours by accident this module and I have to take these three classes over again. :(

- Oh, I should mention that Eric and I are pretty much completely over. Yep. I was devastated for a hot second, but I'm pretty cool with it now. We speak occasionally and I haven't seen him in weeks. His fault for the loss of connection, to be honest, but I'm done worrying about what I can't control. I'm just letting myself be happy now. Fuck drama. I can live without someone who made me feel like shit. I'm young and pretty, damnit. PS- I've kinda been talking to this other boy that I've been friends with for a few years already.

- Going to Boston over Halloween weekend to visit said boy. Excited doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about that.

- I turn 20 in a few days- wait, what? I'm not going to be a teenager anymore. Thank god that's over. I'm optimistic.

- I started doing youtube vlogs and stuff. I've been slacking since the move, but I'll get back on it. I have commitment issues with online things, I guess. www.youtube.com/kiwikellie

- I got a puppy almost two weeks ago. Her name is Lucy and she's a Boston Terrier. The new love of my life.

That's good for now. I think that wraps up the major points. Later, gator.

As I sit here with half a glass of Pinot Grigio and a full bowl of knock-off Froot Loops, I wonder whether or not the amount of money Eric is spending on our anniversary celebration is reflective of his love for me.

He revealed to me the other day that his anniversary plans would cost around $800 and would take place the night before our anniversary and on the big day- June 22nd and 23rd. I didn't even think he had been planning anything, expecting yet another disappointment, so you can imagine my staggered reaction. I immediately assumed that these plans of his would involve a night or two in NYC, a Broadway show, and some hotel sex.

But after tonight's events, I'm apparently very wrong.

"We're flying to Vegas."

That's all he would give me. My reaction? SHOCKED.

Holy shit. What could it be?

I guessed a few things, which I tend to think I'm very good at, as this ability has ruined many surprises for me in my past. Again, I was very wrong. Apparently I'll NEVER guess and I'm not allowed to "cheat" and look things up on Google. I might anyway.

Boo.
Yo.

Things are okay, I guess.

Anyway, drunk last Monday. Almost a whole big bottle of Smirnoff Strawberry vodka and almost a whole smaller bottle of Wild Turkey 101 proof whiskey between the two of us. Most drunk I have ever been. We were amazingly smashed. Wow. Ended up outside on the steps with me smoking and us rambling over each other about the Kari thing. Turns out everything is fine. Which I already knew, but of course it's still going to bother me. She came on the bus that we were on that night and it was awkward and she's pissed at him again, anyway. Oh, well. Puked the rest of the night and finally passed out to wake up early the next morning for the lunch shift. I usually don't get hungover, but it was a bit present during the day.

Speaking of work, it's back to being super slow. The holidays are over, folks. I did make $125 last night, though. AND we did last call half an hour early.

This is really the first time I'm listening to this soundtrack to Curtains since seeing the show in the fall/winter. It really is pretty good. The show was awesome. A good birthday gift from my boy when he still had a job and money. Ha.

Speaking of the boy, he had a TERRIBLE morning. He woke up early and got snappy for a job interview. Got on the train the wrong direction and had to wait 58 minutes for the one back. Had the interview, the guy was a douche, apparently, but they do two or three interviews with different people, anyway, so if he can make another interview he'll be okay. Came home on the train and on the walk home, stepped on a used tampon. Came home to his beautiful, still sleeping, girlfriend and vented and is now doing much better.

"She had no brains, she just had tits, and now she's dead!" HA.

Okay. Done now, 'kay, bye.

Eric got the job at Commerce Bank in Society Hill. :D He's worried about the background check that he had his fingerprints taken for today, but he's still starting on Monday for training and I think he'll be fine.

On Monday, we did some celebrating. :D

It was beautiful out that day, no need for a coat in January. So, I put on a cute sweater, jeans, and a pair of heels and we went to play a few games of pool before our dinner reservation at The Melting Pot. Pool was really fun and dinner was amazing. The food was expensive, and of course I had to pay because I'm supporting us while he's out of a job and I wanted to treat completely for our celebration, but it was so worth it. The food was absolutely incredible. Lobster and marinated steak and chicken and pork, all dipped in the fondue pot on our table. Wowzers. A+. Also, $150 with tip. So worth it.

Then, we bought some booze and brought it home to do some more celebrating. Haha. A big bottle of strawberry vodka and a little bottle of Wild Turkey whiskey (101 proof). WOW. We watched Almost Famous and did a bunch of shots and pretty much put away both bottles between the two of us.

More on that fun drunken night and the hungover day at work on Tuesday later. I'm watching SuperNanny right now. :D
